Nervi and surroundings

Nervi is a picturesque district in eastern Genoa, known for its relaxed atmosphere, proximity to the sea, and cultural attractions. Originally a fishing village, Nervi has developed into a charming seaside resort popular with both locals and tourists.

Thanks to the protective hills in the hinterland, Nervi enjoys a particularly mild climate. In winter, it is often up to 10°C warmer here than in the rest of Genoa, which made the district a popular winter retreat for wealthy travelers as early as the 19th century.

• Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi : This approximately 2 km long promenade runs spectacularly along the cliffs above the Ligurian Sea. It offers breathtaking views of the sea and the Portofino promontory. On clear days, you can even see the island of Corsica.

• Parchi di Nervi : An ensemble of several historic villa gardens, including Villa Gropallo, Villa Saluzzo Serra, and Villa Grimaldi Fassio. Today, these gardens house museums of modern and contemporary art and offer a green oasis with Mediterranean and exotic vegetation.
